Alexandra Banderas with the Mount Airy MainStreet Association (MAMSA) reminds the community that the Mount Airy Oktoberfest is coming up on Saturday, September 23rd, 12-6PM in historic downtown Mount Airy, Maryland! Check out her interview with Billy Deavers ~ co-owner of Liquidity Aleworks ~ where we learn how his passion for brewing beer started! Liquidity Aleworks which opened in November 2022, has brewed the official Mount Airy Oktoberfest beer - Prost [prohst] - which will be served on location at Liquidity Aleworks, across the street at the main beer tent in the Railyard, and at the beer tent nearby Concetta's Main Street Bistro. The proceeds from the Prost beer sales will go toward downtown Mount Airy beautification projects undertaken by MAMSA.
In addition, Deavers reports that the brewery will host Whistle Punk Farm's Food Truck, who along with downtown Mount Airy's Cryin' Johnnies, will be serving up Beer Brats made by Wagner's Meats using Liquidity Aleworks beer.
